We collect very little information, we use it for very limited purposes, and we do not sell your personal data. 2. What personal data we collect

We intentionally keep data collection to a minimum. When you sign up through our website, we collect your name and email address. We do not ask you to provide your phone number, company information, location, date of birth, profile information or other personal information as part of our community/newsletter sign-up.

3. Why we collect your email address

We collect your email address only so that we can:

  • send you an email when we publish a new article;
  • inform you about Dreams X Machina community discussions and events; and
  • where applicable, communicate with you about your participation in those community activities.

Our primary legal basis for sending you these emails is your consent, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. By signing up, you voluntarily give us permission to use your email address for the purposes described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send will include an unsubscribe mechanism, and you may also contact us to ask us to stop sending emails. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before you withdrew your consent.

5. We do not sell or use your data for other purposes

Your email address is not sold, rented, traded or provided to other organizations for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your email address to build advertising profiles. We do not use it for targeted advertising. We do not combine it with information from data brokers or other external sources. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

6. Email delivery

In order to send emails, we may use a third-party email delivery or newsletter service as a data processor acting on our behalf.

The provider processes email addresses only as necessary to deliver and manage emails on our behalf and may not use your information for its own independent marketing purposes on our behalf. If we change our email provider, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

7. How long we keep your email address

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our communications. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address from our active mailing list and stop using it to send you emails. Where technically and legally necessary, we may retain a minimal record of your unsubscribe request so that we can respect your decision and avoid sending you communications in the future. We do not keep personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, except where a longer retention period is required by law.

We do not use personal data for advertising, behavioral profiling or analytics unless explicitly stated otherwise on this website. Our website uses only technically necessary cookies.

This website and the Dreams X Machina community are not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
